I cant believe its so long since I updated this blog. I did have a problem with the site especially uploading images but it all seems a lot better now so..... Im busy getting ready for Beverly Folk festival. I have been in the pottery making
new things to take and im happy with the stock I have, Fairy houses, goddess planters and new leaf pendants are a few examples. I ll post some photographs so you can see what will be there and also some images of the event.

As well as running workshops I'm now busy with my own work. Im really looking forward to all the Craft Fairs and events coming up over the next few weeks and right up to Christmas. Watersedge Craft Fair, Gainsborough Old Hall Victorian Fair, Ropewalk Christmas Art Market and 5 dates at the fantastic Castle Howard.
As well as my usual Angels (although the colours are different this year) I am also making some new things -  little Christmas pixies and Faries, Very small fairy doors and butterflies for the Christmas trees

A Dragon Workshop today! Not the easiest of workshops and not for the faint hearted! The Dragons have to be made in lots of stages and from many little parts. Wonderful work - Will post more pictures as the Dragons go through the glazing process

Just a few of the 48 amazing witches made at Watersedge Visitors Centre by children (and one or two grown ups)!  on Monday. All the little ladies along with a few wizards drying down at Pentangle Pottery!

Tuesday was Pumpkin day!! Also drying so they can be fired these pumpkins look like they are eating tissue! In fact its in there to help them keep in shape!
These little masterpeices will look fabulous once they are glazed - look out for pictures of the finished items!

Green Man Workshop at Watersedge! Magical things made. Most are in the kiln as we speak ... Glazing on the 26th.

Well Insight came and went. I had around 70 visitors and enjoyed the whole thing loads. Sue Hawkmoon shared my exhibition space and our work is so complementary - it all looked fab!
Looking forward to the next event in May already!

I cant believe its a whole year since the last Insight weekends. Im busy getting ready for the next two weekends of open studio. Chocolate and lemon cake will be on offer as well as lots of pottery. Goddess planters, goddess figures, mermaid bowls and a whole load more.......
Ive also been busy doing some workshops with fabulous people, madhouse monsters, Eastoft WI fairy doors and Bead making at Watersedge to name a few! and am looking forward to the next lot. I'll be posting some photographs in the next day or two of recent workshops and also of preps for Insight. Hope you can drop in and share the cake!

Open studio event - ' Insight' run by the ropewalk gallery meant around 50 people visited my little pottery studio over the last two weekends. Thanks to everyone who came and especially to Kathryn for taking the photies, Megan for holding pottery wheel sessions, Louise and Wendy for a most amazing picnic and Joyce for spreading the word!! It was fun and I enjoyed every minute!

This month I completed a special commission for Keith and Helga from the North Lincolnshire and Humberside Sailing Club. I made three fishes for 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes in a national sailing competition. The fishes were made in stoneware and glazed blue green. I made small dedication plaques and I mounted each fish on brass rod fixed into a base of drift wood recovered from the humber bank. I added a tiny white boat on the base of each one.
I can put some images here now the event is over along with a picture of the winners too!
I loved doing this commission -different and fun!
